One of the most prominent open spaces owned by the Parish is Penny's Corner, at the junction of Bourne End Parade, Station Road and Cores End Road.
In partnership with the Parish Council, Flowerland provide the flowers and maintain Penny's Corner summer and winter. The space is named in tribute to ex-councillor Penny Walsh and her husband Brian, for the many years they spent improving and planting this area and saving the land from development.
The four-dialled pillar commemoration clock was installed by Smith of Derby on 13 December 1996 to celebrate the millenium. Wooburn residents chose to have hanging baskets planted annually around the Green.
